Peacefully at home on Friday, July 31 (age 65) surrounded by family, as she wanted, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Loving spouse to the late Murray Tufts, mother to Jared and Morgan, grandmother to Scarlett and Mercedes, sister to Diane Bregg (Peter), Michael Regnier (Joanne deceased), Darlene Parsons (Peter), predeceased by her sister Suzanne Regnier.

Jo-Anne leaves behind many cousins, aunts, uncle, nine nieces and nephews, including Trae Bregg who was with her throughout her final days. Jo-Anne is known as a most generous person by her numerous friends. She is fondly remembered by her colleagues at various schools, most recently York Street P.S. and her fellow Kiwanis volunteers. She is missed by her S&B buddies and lifelong friends Marguerite and Randy Born. Jo-Anne enjoyed her love of food, restaurants, shopping and especially her trips to Mexico with Diane, Peter, Darlene, Brenda and Doug.

A private family funeral service will be held at Hulse, Playfair and McGarry where strict Covid-19 protocols are in place. A virtual-access link will be available on their web site and can be found by clicking 'Webcasting'.

A celebration of Jo-Anne’s life will be held at a later date when Covid-19 restrictions are eased.
