McGREGOR, John Thomas
January/February 15, 1918 – December 21, 2019

Jack (“Mac”) passed peacefully, at Fairmount Home in Kingston, in his 102nd year. Devoted and beloved husband of the late Dorothy McGregor (nee Corbett) for 66 years. Cherished father of Kathryn ("Kathy") McDonald (Bruce). Sadly missed by grandchildren Mallory Whitmell (Kyle) and Michael McDonald (Jeff Morrison) and great grandchildren Adaline and Felicity Whitmell. Dear son of the late Robert McGregor and Katheryn Going. Predeceased by his brother, Maynard William McGregor (Dorothy Smith). Also missed by many nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Ottawa, Jack joined the army prior to WWII and served in the 5th CCS, Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps. He spent his career in Health and Welfare Canada. Jack was a Freemason for 67 years, initiated in 1952 in Rideau Lodge No. 595 and is a member of Chaudiere Lodge No. 264 and a 14th degree member of the Scottish Rite in the Ottawa Valley. We wish to thank Dr. Kathy Kilpatrick and all the wonderful, caring staff of Fairmount Home. Visitation Pinecrest Chapel on Saturday, December 28th from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 2:30 p.m. Interment and reception to follow at Pinecrest Cemetery.
