Wiggins, John
January 7, 1939 to July 19, 2020

Peacefully at the Ruddy Shenkman Hospice following a strong fight through diabetes and Heart issues John (Jack) passed away on Sunday July 19, 2020 at the age of 81.

Loving husband to his late wife Doris (Larche) 2006, devoted father to his only daughter Karen (Bob) and very proud grandpa to Chelsea and Kiara.

Predeceased by his dear companion Theresa Lalonde (2016)

He will be lovingly remembered by his special cousin Heather Campbell, whom he considered "a sister he never had". He will also be missed by many other cousins and close friends and neighbours. If you called him Jack then you knew how proud he was of his Kazabazua roots and his fond memories of growing up in the Gatineau. His love of the game of golf will not be forgotten by those who knew him well.

He will also be remembered for his strong work ethic, something that earned him the honour of having a street named after him by the City of Ottawa in October 1990, after 30 years of service and dedication to the community he strived to make people proud of. Following Jack's wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Jack's life will be held at a later date.

His family wishes to extend their sincerest thanks to the nursing staff at the Hospice for the excellent care and treatment they gave him in his final days. Donations to the Shenkman Hospice or Diabetes Canada would be greatly appreciated.
