1943-2020

On Thursday, January 23 in Destin, Florida, Judith Ellen Burhoe passed away suddenly at the age of 76.

Loving wife of Robert, beloved mother of Kathy, Susan (Ben) and Karen (Scott), dear sister of Peter (Karen) and John (Trish), and treasured grandmother of Luke, Kate and Samantha.

Judy was born on July 30, 1943 in Saint John, New Brunswick to Jim and Ginger (Arsenault) MacKinnon. She trained as a nurse, and worked in Saint John and Ottawa. On July 15, 1967, she married Robert Clayton Burhoe, with whom she raised three daughters, Mary Kathryn, Mary Susan, and Karen Marie.

A spiritual soul, she will be remembered for her compassion and generosity, her resilience, humour and depth.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 7th from 4-7 pm, and a memorial service on Saturday, February 8th at 1 pm, both at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod St., Ottawa, followed by a reception at the Burhoe home.
