August 20 1943, Karachi, Sindh, India - August 13 2020, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Our Ray of Light

With great sadness we must share our family’s loss of the passing of our Dad. His sudden Cancer diagnosis in late July and rapid decline spared him the pain of treatment and he passed peacefully at home with his sons and wife at his side.

Lall’s gift of light and his magnetic personality drew in like-minded souls from all walks of life and brought him a successful career in sales. He landed his first sales job in 1972 at Joe Fellers. From this professional start his sales career brought him to Alexanian Carpets, Sears Home Improvements and Colonial to his decades long position as a specialist in home renovations at Rona.

Lall is survived by his wife Maya “Monisha” (nee Gidwani)) his sons Samir and Sanjay, daughters in law, Tricia and Emma and his grandchildren; Ella, Sona, Austen, Isabelle and Jackson. Lall Is also survived by his brothers and sisters in India. He will be remembered by those he left behind including his very dear friends from the Ottawa Sindhi Association.

We love you so much Dad. Thank you for all you have done for us.

Even though we did not have the honor to meet Lall on regular basis, in the last 30-some years we got to know him as an extremely polite and very helpful person. Not just his family lost a husband, father, grandfather, but the world has lost a good man. Rest in peace!
Sincere condolences to Maya and the family.

Lall was a very pleasant man for the time I knew him as his property manager. I always enjoyed my conversations with Lall and Maya. I am sad for the family to hear of his passing. Garry Wentzel
