Condolences

Condolence From: BELL, RONALD G
Condolence: I met Lorne in 1955 in Bagotville, Quebec. We flew together a number of times when Punch Walker, his regular Nav, wasn't available. I again met up with Lorne again in the 60, 70 and 80's at various times for business and pleasure. We always had a discussion about a time in the 50's when we left Quebec City for Bagotville without a canopy. He was a great pilot, a keen scientist and a super friend. I will miss him terribly at the 440 squadron reunions.

Condolence: Please accept our condolences on the passing of Lorne and please know that the Ursel family is in our hearts and prayers during this difficult time.

Your father was a special man who loved to share his thoughts and opinions with everyone.

From his tireless volunteer efforts up at Camp Fortune to the national level, he truly provided skilled and meaningful direction to all athletes. And, as a father, he was so proud of his own family in their competitive efforts and enjoyment on the ski hills.

We were lucky to be neighbours and friends with Lorne and Pinky and all the Ursels. They always had an invite for our family.

Lorne, thank you for the fond memories. You are missed.

Respectfully,

Kim and Judy Rawley

Condolence: I met Lorne at the retirement home. When my dad moved there, he was matched with Lorne likely because of their past RCAF and aviation experiences. My dad was certain they had met before and they became great friends. I spent many hours with my dad at the wine and cheese events. Lorne would always come down late (he wasn't going to stand in line) and join us. Watching these two guys take little jabs at each other for an hour and then go off and eat dinner together was uplifting. I enjoyed the visits with Lorne so much that I continued to visit every so often after my dad passed. He was a great guy and had many stories. I am still envious of his golf trips. He will be missed.

Condolence: Lorne met my dad, Don Green at RMC. Pinky and Lorne were the only ones who ever call him Donnie.
I loved seeing your dad and mom at The Royal Golf Club and catching up on all the family news.
My condolences to all of you on the loss of Lorne. I am sure the three of them have reunited and are sharing a glass of wine and fond memories.

Condolence: Lorne was a wonderful man and I'm sure he will be greatly missed by all of his family,
however I'm sure they also realize how fortunate they were to share their lives with him. I hope their shared love and memories will help to ease their pain during this sad time.
