Condolence: Never to be replaced: never to be forgotten.
Jim was my friend and mentor for almost 50 years. I will miss his wise and compassionate counsel and steadfast friendship. Jim was a passionate Canadian who never completely lost his New York accent. He combined a keen analytical ability with a range of interests, including politics and world affairs, about which Jim was always well informed. He relished the back and forth of a lively conversation, and would add a touch of clever humour and an appropriate quotation from time to time.
Greatly missed.
