Obituary for Margaret Elaine "Maggie" Carew (Morrissey)
April 7, 1921 - March 25, 2020
Peacefully, in her 99th year, originally from Tignish, PEI. Devoted mother of 14 children, 23 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband William F. Carew "Willie", and sons John, Justin, Lawrence, Billy, Jerry, Michael and daughter Teresa (Houle).
She will be greatly missed by her surviving children – Mary (Delaney), Denis, Tony, Rita (Harper), Roma (Cameron), Brian, and Loraine. Thank you to Dr. Dan Cameron, and the nurses and personal care providers at St. Patrick’s Home. Funeral mass will be announced at a later date. Donations can be made in memory of Margaret to St. Patrick’s Home of Ottawa Foundation, 2865 Riverside Dr. Ottawa, ON K1V 8N5.

Place them in my Mother’s arms
And tell her they’re from us.
Tell her I love her and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
Place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for a while.
Because remembering her is easy,
I do it everyday,
Because there is an ache within my heart
That will never go away.
