October 4, 1923 - January 7 2020
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the age of 96 years. Beloved wife of the late Gerald Hendrick, her loving and devoted husband of 53 years. Predeceased by her parents Albert Groulx and Nellie Peters, her brothers Albert (Marie-Anne), Wilfred (Lees), Henri (Aurette), Paul (Carmen) and Philip (Rita), her sisters Helen (Raymond), Rita and Theresa(Clarence). Cherished mother of David (Carolyn), Margaret (Chris), Anne (Roy), Lynn (Eric) and Rosemary (Brent). Loving “Granny” to 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ruth Farey and her staff at the Oakpark Retirement Residence, who cared for our mother with such great dedication and compassion. In particular we would like to mention her friend Gloria as well as the many Personal Support workers who were such devoted caregivers.
Memorial Service at the Central Chapel of Hulse Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O’Connor) Ottawa on Saturday, January 11th at 1pm., followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, we ask you to consider a donation to Doctors Without Borders, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of choice.
