Peacefully, after a brief illness, on Friday, January 3, 2020, Marie Sloan, age 86 years. Beloved sister of Clarney Sloan (Doris) of Princeton, Ontario and cherished aunt of 25 nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, James and Laura Sloan, her brothers Ben (Elva), Desmond (Terry) and Percy, and her sisters Monica Lang (Bill), Shirley Paul (Stewart) and Dorothy Jelley (Ed). She had a distinguished 35 year career in the Federal Government at the Department of National Defense and the Privy Council. Family and Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry 150 Woodroffe Ave. (at Richmond Road) Ottawa on Saturday January 11th from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church 153 Woodroffe Ave at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Notre Dame Cemetery on Monday January 13, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation
