Condolences

Condolence From: John Shields
Condolence: Tom and Jamie, Just learned through Susan that your Mom passed away a couple of weeks ago. Although dealing with the death of a parent is tough enough even at the best of times, I think you both can take a great deal of comfort in the knowledge that she lived a very long and meaningful life full of laughter and accomplishments, accomplishments both in the field of academia and as a mother. To this day I remember her wicked and often ribald sense of humour and the uproarious laughter that she and my Mom would often engage in! And then, of course, there were all the good times at our cottage where your Mom would exhort us all to take "gigantic leaps" off the raft. Once the coronavirus pandemic is over, I hope I will be able to join you in a celebration of your Mom's life and get caught up on news. Again, my sincere condolences to you both at this time of sadness and reflection. John

Condolence: Tom: To you and all your family my sincere condolences on the death of your mother - she certainly sounds like a grand and interesting lady. This is a difficult time for all of us but none more so than those who lose a dearly beloved when getting together for support and consolation are so limited. Please take care of yourselves and when the time comes, celebrate her life fully.
