Merrill passed away peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, beloved husband of the late Annie (Bridgeman). Loving father of the late Brian (late Gail) Burnett and Bonnie Burnett. Dear Grandfather of Vicki (James) Visneskie and Gregory Burnett. Great-Grandfather of Amy and Jason Visneskie and Heather Burnett. Predeceased by his parents Alberta and Duncan Burnett.

The family would like to thank the Ottawa Civic Hospital with special thanks to Dr. Philip Townsend.

A private family service was held followed by interment at Capital Memorial Gardens. In Merrill’s memory donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
