Peacefully at Ruddy Shenkman Hospice on Sunday August 23, 2020. Michael is predeceased by his father Tom and two sets of grandparents. Left to mourn are his mother Jean, his brother Richard of Alberta, sister Lindsay (Rod) Patriquin of Nova Scotia, nieces Laura Patriquin of Nova Scotia and Heather Patriquin of Bogota, Columbia, nephews Thomas and Geoffrey Hall-Jones both of Alberta, and special friends Sheri Walker and Ken Lange. Michael had a lifelong love of the outdoors and was a valued member of the Water Polo and Ultimate communities in Ottawa. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his many friends. Due to COVID19 restrictions funeral services will be private. The service will be livestreamed using zoom and information can be obtained from the funeral home or from Sheri. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Care Ottawa – Ruddy Shenkman or the Canadian Cancer Society in Michael's memory.
