Michael “Mike” Stanton

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Michael “Mike” Neil Stanton at home on Thursday, March 2, 2023.  Born April 26, 1956, Mike was the son of the late Wilfred and Kathleen “Kaye” Stanton nee Rathwell.

Mike will be lovingly remembered by his wife Bev, his stepson Jeff (Michelle), his grandsons Raine, Greysin, Kingston and Jacob, his siblings Lynne Ostrow (Andrew), Gerry Stanton (Barbara), Joanne Murray, Brian Stanton (Elaine) and his many nieces and nephews who he was so fond of.  He also leaves behind his beloved dog Jax who he adored.

Mike was a kind, hardworking and thoughtful person and a loyal and trusted friend. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.

In keeping with Mike’s wishes, there will not be a service.  A Celebration of his Life will take place at a later date.

For those who wish, donations may be made in Mike’s memory to the Ottawa Heart Institute or the Ottawa Humane Society.
