Obituary for Murdock Joseph "Mert" Aucoin
March 25, 1935 - January 20, 2020
Slipped away peacefully after a mercifully brief illness. Left in great sadness are his wife Marion (nee Connor); daughter Maureen (Mike Rivoche) and their children Alex and Trevor; daughter Denise (Phil Gregory) and their children Kwergan and Karrak; son Darron (Susan Pritchard) and their children Geoffrey (Allie Smith), Robin (Emma Butcher) and Sam; stepdaughter Sarah (Paul Desjardins) and their son Cade; stepson Connor (Val Dessaulles) and their children Theo and Mackenzie. Beloved "Daddy Mert" to the Wenkoffs: Erin (Kevin Harper), Jessica (Chris Mason) and Joey (Ilka de Laat). Mert was the much-loved, absolute center of our family. He will be immeasurably missed by us all. Friends are invited to A Celebration of Mert’s Life at the McGarry Memorial Chapel, 176 Route 105, Wakefield on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 11 a.m followed by a reception. Interment will take place at Maclaren Cemetery, Wakefield in the spring. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Mert ‘s memory.
