At home peacefully, surrounded by family & friends on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019, at the age of 83 years. Our beloved Mother continues her journey from this realm to the next. To once again join the love of her life of 61 wonderful years, our father, Alan Kwan (passed Jan. 29, 2019). Mother of 8 + 1 children. Shirl (husband Pat), Howard (wife My-Linh), David, Edward (aka ChinaDoll), Mabe, Helen, Richard (wife Sally), Don (husband John) and our baby brotherJohn, who stayed with us only for a moment but forever loved. Grandmother to Alyssa, Emma, Addyson, Ethan & Maddy - her bundles of joy. Dear sister-in-law to Po Chun Yee (late Bing Yee). Beloved aunt to Arthur, Ken, Tim (wife Lucy & family), Sue (husband Thomas Ho & family), Peter Chow (wife Van & family), William (wife Marie & family), Jen (husband Tony & family, Anna, and the late Sam Chow. Daughter to the late Joe Fong & Chong Sin Chung Chow. Sister to the late Chow Kwai Fong. Daughter-in-law to the late Jimmy Kwan &Tom Sui Mie. Visitation will be held at the Central Chapel of Hulse Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod, Ottawa, from Sunday, Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday, Dec. 16 at 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Chapel Service at 1 p.m., followed by interment at the Beechwood Cemetery, 280 Beechwood Ave., Ottawa. Family and friends are also invited to attend a gathering at the Shanghai Restaurant, 651 Somerset St. W., Ottawa from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Flowers are welcome.
