1929-2020

Passed away at home quietly and on her own terms on Wednesday, June 24, 2020. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Dr. Robert (Bob) Murray Heggie in 2008. Norah was the loved mother of Sheila (Jean-Claude Ouellette), Murray (Pat Gorham) of Halifax, Caroline (Arlen Bonesky) of New Westminster, and Robert (Jody) of Calgary. Cherished grandmother of Jean-Robert (Julie Fortin), Alexander and Clare, Alicea (Ryland Davidson) and David and Kelsey (Collin Andries) and Jamie (Jordan Bryne).

Norah emigrated to Canada from Scotland with her husband Bob in 1951. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Norah was a long-time member of St. Timothy’s Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir and was the church secretary until last year. Norah also loved spending time at her cottage at Blue Sea Lake where she enjoyed the wildlife and going for long boat rides.

A Celebration of Norah’s life will be held at St. Timothy’s Presbyterian Church at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Timothy’s Presbyterian Church, 2400 Alta Vista Drive, Ottawa, Ontario, K1H 7N1, (www.sttimsottawa.com) would be appreciated.
