Norma Sarah Eleanor  Scullion (Black)
October 28, 1931 - February 23, 2020

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of our loving Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma, Norma Sarah Eleanor Scullion (nee Black) of Gatineau on Sunday, February 23, 2020, in her 89th year. Loving wife of the late Arnold Scullion (1999). Dearest and beautiful Mom of Catherine (Sherwin Greer), Campbell’s Bay; Donna (Darwin Patterson), Limoges; Nancy (Tim Cole), Janet (Stephen Talbot), Sheila (Terry Millar), all of Ottawa; Dale (Isabelle Gagnon), Gatineau; Mark (Anne Therrien), Dorval; and Derek, Gatineau. Cherished Grandma of Erin (Milenko), Tanya (Steve), Jimmy (Jessica), Shane (Amy), Ian (Holly), Danny, Chad, Sean, Cole, Cassie, Dexter, Aidan and predeceased by Trevor. Proud Great-Grandma of Layla, Simone, Micah, Hailey and Riley. Predeceased by her parents Eddie and Ruby (Drummond) Black and by her sisters Muriel (late Hubert Cluff), Bessie (late George Dascenzo), Marion (late Fred Buccino), Alda (late Mervin Cluff and late Alfred Henry) and her brothers Dalton (Claire), Selwyn (late Dorothy) and Perley (Bonnie) Black. Dear sister-in-law to Helen (late Bill Holland), Vera (Doug Smith), Ruby (late Cliff Stone), Diana (late Jim Brown), Gayle (Gary Rolfe), Joy (Willis Todd), Lorna (late David Stinson) and Linda (late Lyle Stevenson), and predeceased by Keith Scullion (late Greeta). Survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Norma loved to socialize and dance and was a long-time member of the Gatineau Friendship Club and several Old Time Music and Fiddle Clubs. Her family wishes to thank the Gatineau Hospital and the kind staff and volunteers of La Maison des Collines in Wakefield for their exceptional care. Family and friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O’Connor) Ottawa, on Friday, February 28 from 1 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service Saturday, February 29 at 11 a.m. at St. Aidan’s Anglican Church, 934 Hamlet Road, Ottawa. If desired, donations may be made to La Maison des Collines in Wakefield, the Arthritis Society, or a charity of your choice. Spring interment at Dunning Cemetery in Gatineau.
