Bruce passed away peacefully at Forest Valley Terrace in Ottawa on Thursday July 14th. He is survived by his sister Beth (John Bennett) , brother Don (Jo Ellen Welsford), nephews Peter, Dan and Paul Bennett , and Michael and David McCallan.

Born and raised in Ottawa, Bruce was a lifelong resident of the Glebe. He was an engineer and worked at Agriculture Canada for many years. 

As a young man he built and raced cars at Mosport and St. Jovite. In addition he was an avid woodworker making beautiful handcrafted gifts for friends and family as well as creating display cases for several Bank Street businesses.
