Odette Parisien

Passed away suddenly at the Ottawa Heart Institute on January 31, 2022 in her 90th year.
Odette was born on May 20, 1932 in Alfred Ontario. Daughter of the late Lionel Parisien and Georgette (Beaulieu) Parisien. Loving wife of Hubert Pilon. Predeceased by her brothers Gilles (late Madeleine) and Jean-Guy (late Olivette). Special aunt to Lise, Nicole, Carole, Andre, Denise, Pierre, Lynne, Michele, Danielle and Louise.
Odette’s love of teaching began with her education in Ottawa, Vermont and France. She had a full career as a teacher working in both Canada and the US, later consulting in language training and bilingualism. In her retirement years she published two books of poetry.
A private interment and celebration of life will be held in the spring. As an expression of sympathy, contributions to the Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated by the family.

Fille de Lionel Parisien et de feu Georgette Beaulieu. Tendre epouse d’Hubert Pilon. Precede par ses freres Gilles (feu Madeleine) et Jean-Guy (feu Olivette).
Tante adoree de Lise, Nicole, Carole, Andre, Denise, Pierre, Lynne, Michele, Danielle et Louise.
Odette a fait carriere dans l’enseignement avec une vaste experience de la didactique des langues et de la consultation dans le domaine du bilinguisme. Elle a publie deux livres de poesie; On entend toujours la mer et Nulle part ou poser son reve.
Une celebration de la vie d’Odette aura lieu au printemps. Vos marques de sympathie peuvent se traduire par un don a l’Institut de Cardiologie d’Ottawa.
