Obituary for Patricia Anne Thom (Campbell)

The world lost one of its brightest and most vibrant lights on April 16, 2021.

Patricia Anne Thom (nee Campbell) passed away in her beautiful home, surrounded by the wonderful life she built for herself. She is now reunited with the love of her life, Terry Thom.

Born on January 6, 1945 in Glace Bay Nova Scotia, Pat was a devoted daughter to her late parents, Charles Cyprian Campbell, and Florence Patricia Campbell (Nee MacIsaac).

She was a nurturing mother to her four children: Glen Campbell (Judy), Paola Montanaro (Dave), Donna Osborne (Brent), and Tony Montanaro. Some of her greatest passion and pride came from her role as a grandmother to her nine grandchildren: the late Jonas Mitchell, Cody Campbell, Sarah Osborne, Brittany Bell, Hannah Osborne, Brandon Swain, and Kennedy, Graceson and Kaine Montanaro. She was also a great grandmother to Nathaniel, Cameron and Zachary Campbell. She grew up alongside her siblings; the late Virgina Dominique, Sandra Ducey, Isabelle Allison, Michael Campbell, Donald Campbell, Judy O’Reilly, and Paul Campbell.

She was radiant, beautiful, and one of a kind. No matter who, when, or why, she would always treat you well, as though you were family. Her work ethic and kindness went unmatched, and so did the love and acceptance she shared with all of those she met. Patricia was, and will continue to be loved, admired, and adored by all who knew her in their memories, stories, and ways they’ll continue to live their lives. Her family and friends will miss her cooking, singing, witty humor, forgiveness and generously giving nature. She will continue to live on in the red cardinals that swoop through the trees, laughter that fills the air, and all of the good that this wonderful world has to offer.

A Private Funeral Service will be Celebrated at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry on Wednesday, April 21 at 10:30 am, due to COVID restrictions.

In memoriam donations to CHEO or the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
