It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Philippa. She passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, March 12, 2020. Beloved wife of Stephen Lockyear for 40 years. Devoted and loving mother of Rebecca (Benjamin Jones), Emily (Jakub Ficner) and Kaitlin (Mark Senger). Proud Nana of Harrison, Alice and Spencer. Daughter of the late Wallace and Mary Carr. Dear sister of Ian (Anne Carr). Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews, George, Freya, Stephen (Mindi Telling) and Rosalind (Geoff Stark) as well as her sister in law Susan (Geoff Telling) and many other extended family members and friends both in Canada and the UK. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. The family would like to thank the medical staff in both Ottawa and Prince Edward County for the tremendous care they provided over the past year. In particular Dr. Garth Nicholas, Dr. Peter Cross, Dr. Tamara Adamek, Dr. Jennifer Chew, Brittany Britton N.P., and the VON Nurses were of great comfort to Philippa.
