Obituary for Pierrette Madeline Santoni (Amiot)
Pierrette Santoni (née Amiot) passed away peacefully in Ottawa at the Waterford Retirement Residence, surrounded by her loving husband of 63 years and their four children on May 21, 2021. She left us just one day before her 86th birthday. Beloved wife of Terrence Santoni. Loving mother to Mark (Joanne), Pierre (Lora), Terri-Ann (Bassem) and Sean (Jennifer). Loving grandmother to Tessa, Tyler, Cameron, Samantha, Natasha, Cassandra, Connor, Nicholas, Jesse and Jake. Loving great-grandmother to Elias, Selma and Yusif. Predeceased by her parents Craig Amiot and Juliette Dumont, her brother Guy Amiot, her sisters Évelyne Clark, Adrienne Murdock , and Jeanne Grimard.
Pierrette also leaves many cherished nieces, nephews and friends. She will also be missed by her dear in-laws Ronald Santoni, Nola Santoni and Carole and Verne Plitt.
Pierrette had a passion for cooking, playing piano, cottage life, live theatre, and crossword puzzles. She loved her cats and dogs and was a great companion to all she shared her life with over the years. She loved classical music, especially listening to the violin. She will be fondly remembered for her laughter, love of family and amazing memory. No one could walk faster in a grocery store and no one should!

Due to Covid 19 restrictions the funeral service will only be attended by the immediate family but will be streamed live on The St. Barnabas Anglican Church Facebook page on Tuesday, June 1st at 11 a.m. The Livestream can be accessed by clicking on the link provided below. A private interment will take place immediately following at Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation or the Ottawa Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
