Condolence: Dear Vera, I am so awfully sorry that your best friend has died. Catherine let us know through Hilary that her grandfather was very ill and we have been hoping that he would be able to overcome this. It was not to be. Sorry too that the family was unable to gather to honour his memory. How lucky you were to find him - a strong fellow who you and others could rely on to do the right thing. Not sure they make them in quite the same mold any longer. It must also have been fun to have lived with someone who had a good sense of humour and knew how to smile and to laugh. I suspect that he was a chap who was rarely down in the dumps. Mostly when I saw him, he was chuckling about one thing or another. It was also nice that he shared your enthusiasm for sport and physical activity. Nice to have a partner for that sort of thing. I don't have many friends, could count them easily on a single hand but had we been closer in age, Randy is someone that I very much would have liked to count as a friend. Could you give my best also to Debbie and Andy, Catherine and Thomas. In sympathy, John Young

Condolence: I have so many good memories of Randy Lidstone I don't know where to start. He was like a second father to me as I tagged along for years as my parents spent so much time with the Lidstones in Florida, on the golf course, on the tennis court, playing cards and skiing. He was one of the warmest, most genuine people I have ever met and he will be sorely missed.

We have made a donation to the North York Harvest Food Bank in his memory. Please know we are thinking of Vera and family at this very sad time.

Condolence: Dear Debby and Jim and families

We were so sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. Our parents had many good years together on Jorene Drive. There are quite a few good stories from that street!!!! May all your good memories provide some comfort in this challenging time

Love Barb and Rich
