In her 99th year, after suffering a stroke at the Hospice at May Court on Monday, January 13, 2020. Born on July 1, 1921 in Montreal. Predeceased by her parents Jenny and Ben Gershberg, her husband Leon and daughter Sandra Forester. She is survived by son-in-law George Forester, and grandsons Jordan and Matthew. Lovingly remembered by family, nephews and great-grandchildren Damian (BC), Madison and Avery (Napanee) and Jack and Lucy (Ottawa). Respected for her cooking skills and community service in Ottawa, she was a faithful and caring friend to many. Living independently at home, with her dog, until she made the decision to move to Stonehaven Retirement to enjoy the social life she cherished. She will be sadly missed. Funeral Service will be held in the Cwinn Chapel at the Jewish Memorial Gardens, 6549 Herberts Corners Road, on Wednesday, January 15 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow. Shiva will be observed at 19 Terrace Drive on Wednesday after the Service until 7 p.m., Thursday from 1-7 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until 12 noon.
