Steve, dearly loved husband of Sue, passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at the age of 67. Devoted
father to Jennifer (Matthew), Christopher, Daniel (Kathleen), and Carolyn (Ross). Loving grandfather to
Stella, Penny, and Florence. Dear brother of Ed Ladd (Madeline).

Steve was born in Brantford. He was a proud graduate of Waterloo (BMath) and University of Ottawa
(MBA) and a long-time employee of Nortel Networks. He was also a lifelong fan of the Toronto Maple
Leafs and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Steve was an anchor of the McPhail Memorial Baptist Church community. He considered himself a
servant and took delight in mentoring the youth of McPhail. He was a storyteller and loved nothing
more than long conversations with his family and friends. He was never shy to share the pride he felt for
his family.

A family service will be held at Beechwood Cemetery, and a Memorial Service at McPhail will be held at a
future date. Donations in memory of Steve can be made to McPhail or The Door Youth Center.
