Condolence From: Colonel-Maitre Michel William Drapeau, former RCASC
Condolence: My sincere condolences to the family members of the late Victor Smith.

During my military service, I have had several contacts with Lieutenant-Colonel Vic Smith. I considered him a learned, experienced, agreeable and always positive officer. His talents, diverse experience and sharp intellect were matched by his respect and appreciation for the abilities, efforts and skills of others. He always portrayed an air of quiet confidence and readiness to engage in any challenging opportunity, the hallmark of a true gentleman and a professional. He will be missed.

He has left on me, and no doubt on many others, a permanent indelible impression.

RIP

Condolence From: Paul Tulk
Condolence: I was extremely saddened to hear of Vic’s passing. He was a highly respected officer and a true gentleman. He was one of my instructors when I went through the RCASC School and I had the good fortune to serve with him on three occasions throughout my career. I was privileged to call him a friend. He will be missed by his many RCASC and Logistics colleagues. I extend my sincerest condolences to Madeleine and his family.
