It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne after a bravely fought battle with dementia. Wayne died peacefully in his sleep at the Montfort Hospital on Tuesday, 9 March. Dearly loved husband of Barbara (nee Desens). He is survived by his sisters June Cusson and Brenda Dionne. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Diane Pieters and Linda Desens and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Doug and Rita Findlay and his brother Doug.

Wayne was a licensed electrician and member of the IBEW. He spent the last 12 years of his career as President of the Research Council Employees Association. He retired in December, 2004 and enjoyed spending the summers with Barbara at their cottage on the Mississippi Lake.

Barbara would like to thank all the doctors, especially Dr. Lemay, nurses, palliative care team, sitters and staff at the Montfort for their care and compassion throughout Wayne’s journey, especially Roxanne Riendeau. Without her she would not have made it through the last few months.

Due to COVID 19 there will be no visitation/service.

In memory of Wayne, donations may be made to The Montfort Hospital.

Rest in peace my dear Wayne. I will love you and miss you every day for the rest of my life.
