Wendy Diana Rogers (nee Markey) of Ottawa, Ontario
April 30, 1943 – May 28, 2022

Sis, Cuz, Aunt, Mum, Baba.  Recipient of the Heidi Levenson-Polowin Award for Excellence in Child Protection Advocacy. Strong and determined to the end of her short battle with brain cancer.  Wendy lived her life unapologetically her way, overcoming every obstacle with a well guarded, gentle and kind heart and soul.  While the accumulation of ailments ultimately left her trapped during her waking hours, we knew that when she dreamed she was free again.  Our frog collecting foodie will be remembered for her love of a passionate debate, the sunshine on the beach, the entertaining of friends and family and for her love of a really good book……or truthfully, any book.  You are forever loved.

Friends and family may visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road on Sunday June 5, 2022 from 1pm until time of service in the chapel at 2pm and again following the service until 4pm.  For those wishing, the service will be livestreamed and can be viewed by clicking on the following link: View the livestream of the service for  Wendy Rogers.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Minwaashin Lodge would be appreciated by the family.
