Obituary for John Gerald Fortier
Fortier, John Gerald (Jack)
WWII RCAF Veteran
1923-2014
Peacefully on August 24th, 2014 at the Perley and Rideau Veterans Health Centre in his 92nd year. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 64 years, Tamar Fortier (nee Wilson), his son John (Mary), his daughter Jeanne Boicey (Dave) and his brother Ron. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Colleen, Rob, Duncan and Katie and his great grandchild Miles. In his retirement Jack spent 10 years entertaining as a Shrine Clown. Family and friends are invited to visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road (at Aviation Parkway) on Thursday August 28th from 11 am until the time of the Memorial Service in the Chapel at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Perley & Rideau Veterans Health Centre.
