I met Robin through her love for her toy poodles. When Bernice and I first went to meet Robin to help her find good homes for her little ones, I was struck by just how dedicated she was to each and every one of them. They were all treated as individuals and she knew them inside and out.
"Oh," Robin said, "I can't turn my back on this one because he will bite me on my hiney." And she would give a little giggle.
"This one, here, yes you, little missy, can climb fences! You must be prepared because she wants to see the world!" And sure enough there was that little one climbing a fence just to see what was on the other side.
"You shouldn't baby toy poodles. They are tough, wonderful dogs that can manage just fine. Just treat them like a dog! They will love you for it."
Ah, Robin. Thank you so much for trusting Bernice and I with your little ones. I feel honoured to have known you. We shall meet again on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. I am sure of it.
