Condolence From: Jim Blair
Condolence: Goodbye Lorne - you were one of the first "brownies" I met after integration in 1966. From you, grew my respect for the "non-professional" operators. We will count bauds together in the big SIGDEV lab in the sky.

Condolence: Lorne was my boss for a while when I was in Inuvik in the late seventies. I remember him well, always had a great simile and was a very kind man. I think he even took the shift to the Inuvik Legion a couple times after work. Also my wife worked with Rita at the bank for a while. A couple of us went to the 50th of Alert at Leitrim a while back. The fellow I went with said maybe we might see “Big Mac”, I wondered who he was talking about. Anyway we rounded a corner and there was Lorne, had not changed a bit. I give my sincere condolence to the family at this difficult time.

Condolence: To the MacDonald & Best Families,

We were saddened this morning to learn of Big Mac's passing. Mac & Rita lived next door to us in Inuvik in the late 70's & early 80's and they treated us as Family which will not surprise anyone whoever knew them. We later continued our friendships in Ottawa and in later years when they visited NL they always made the time to visit us - we enjoyed their company very very much. Our deepest sympathy at this extremely difficult time.
