Condolences

Condolence From: Donna B.
Condolence: I just came across this today when i was on the internet. I was very saddened to read that Dr. Dungy passed away. I was a former patient of his at Sick Kids hospital in Toronto in the late 70's/80's until he left to go to Ottawa. I had a rare inherited dental condition so I was special and got the chief himself. I lived in small town outside of the city of Toronto and my parents and I travelled 60 miles to see him for each visit for many years He was a brilliant kind understanding dentist. Being my parents did not have dental insurance the hospital gave us a special rate. As tribute to him and the Sick Kids dental department when I made my will in 2006 I have left money to that department so they can help other children. May he rest in peace and may you know what a difference he made in someone's life who has never forgot that.

Condolence: I was very sorry to read Arlington's announcement in Friday's Globe & Mail. I had the privilege of working with Arly at CHEO from 1989 - 1992, a brief time but a very valuable one for me as we developed CHEO's Cardiac Sciences expansion. Demanding, encouraging, fair, someone I could confide in, and a wonderful mentor - forever someone to emulate. My deepest sympathies to his family and close friends.
Kindest regards,
David Nesbitt

Condolence: I was greatly saddened to read the Obituary on Arlly. I was CEO of the Royal Ottawa when I met him and we shared many issues and collaborations together. He was always the consummate gentleman and compassionate care giver. His values and vision on clinical practice and on the administration of our health services and academic institutions has mentored many of us. I always said to him he would make a great diplomat. My thoughts and prayers go with you, his family and friends, on this passing of a fine human being.
