Peacefully, after a brief illness, Sunday, September 25th, 2016 at the Central West Hospice at the age of 84. Loving husband and best friend of Judi (nee Blair). Devoted father of Bryan and Natalie Sharp (Brian MacKay). Proud “Pa” of Kevan and Erin MacKay. Special uncle of many nieces and nephews. Son of the late Charles and Jessie Sharp. Brother of Ken (Beth), the late Stuart (Elaine) and Lloyd (Wilma). Friends are invited to visit at theWest Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue (at Byron) on Thursday, September 29th from 7 - 9 p.m. and on Friday, September 30th from 10 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service in the Chapel at 11 a.m., followed by a reception. Donations in memory of Gerry would be appreciated to Hospice Care Ottawa – Central West Hospice or to the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre.
