Obituary for Gladys Hall (nee Allen)

Gladys Hall (nee Allen)
Hall, Gladys May Elizabeth
(nee Allen)

Peacefully in Gatineau hospital, with her beloved husband Ken by her side, on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019 at age 80 years, Gladys returned to Heaven. Devoted Mother of Kevin (Michael), Heather and Raymond (Jeannine), and a second Mother to Gord. Cherished Grandmother of Derek and Coralie. Dear sister of Bill (Dodie) and Beryl (Harvey), sister-in law Donna (Bob). Daughter of the late Borden and Betty Allen (nee McClelland).

Gladys was born in Aylmer QC and raised in the country where, under her parents care, she gained her love for family. Her devotion to her family and all children continued throughout her life as she volunteered as a Beaver Leader and later as a member of the BP Guild (which supported Scouting throughout the Ottawa Area). She retired from the Public Service as a Pay and Benefits administrator for Health Canada and was able to engage in her passion for travel. A Member of the Orange and Protestant children's foundation, Old Time Fiddlers Association, Scouts Canada and a member of St-Andrews United church.

Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of her Life at the McGarry Memorial Chapel, 176 Route 105, Wakefield, on Saturday, November 2nd after 9am until service in the Chapel at 11am. Reception to follow. Memorial donations to the Orange and Protestant Children’s Foundation for Quebec, Canadian Cancer Society or the Wakefield Memorial Hospital - Des Collines Health Foundation
