Condolence From: Wayne McKinnon
Condolence: To the Budarick Family,

Please accept my condolences on your lost, it is never easy to lose someone, who was such an important person in your life.

I had the pleasure of knowing Mel from our days in the North Gloucester Men's Hockey League. The best words to describe Mel is that he was a great Guy, who was good to everyone!

Rest in peace,

Wayne

Condolence: I'm sad to hear of Mr. Budarick's passing.... my deepest condolences. Mr. Budarick was my coach for many years while I played with the Gloucester Devils. Of course as a child, I never realized or necessarily appreciated his dedication but now as an adult and mom, I most certainly can. My fondest memories though, are of course, at ringette tournaments that involved Mr. Budarick and my father. To list their shenanigans and countless pranks would take too long!! Haha!! Rest in peace Mr. Budarick and maybe you and Dad are up there playing pranks again ❤ My love to Brenda, Mrs. Budarick and all his family.

Condolence: To the Budarick family,

On behalf of the North Gloucester (Seniors) Men's Hockey Team, our sincere condolences.

"Mel patrolled the blue line for over 30 years. In the dressing room, always sharing a joke or having a serious opinion on current affairs..." Was a real team player.

Ray Paquette (Past President)

Condolence: My deepest condolences to the Budarick family. I worked with Mel years ago and went to many of our ‘old farts’ lunches over the years. I will always remember him as one of the most down-to-earth, kind-hearted...and funny...people I have ever met. We will miss him a lot.
So sorry for your loss.

Condolence: From the day I met Mel as a colleague at Transport Canada in 1988 I knew he was the real McCoy .....honest, straightforward and loyal. We shared many lunch hours together going for noon hour walks when we had some very heated arguments about current affairs whether it was politics, feminism, immigration etc. with me on the liberal side and Mel on the conservative side. In spite of our vehement disagreements, Mel was never disagreeable often times taking the wind out of my sails with some salient or humorous point. Mel was also an integral part of the retirees group which met for lunch several times a year. He will be really missed from our ever-dimishing group but leaves behind memories of a good man. RIP my friend.

Condolence: I met Melvin when I was 16 years old. At that time, I think that he thought I was “sassy” and I thought he was “gruff”. Fast forward 30 years and I can honestly say that while Melvin was often seen as a man of few words, his actions have taught me about family, honour and unconditional love. I have been truly blessed for having Melvin in my life. I thank Audrey, Debbie, Brent and Brenda for sharing Melvin with me and my heart goes out to each and every one of you during this difficult time.
