Obituary for Fritz Dubach
November 29, 1928 - January 29, 2019
Born in Sumiswald, Switzerland, a cabinet maker by trade, he is survived and dearly missed by his spouse of over 50 years Annelies, his daughters Tonya (Mario) and Franziska (Luc) as well as grandkids Maya and Alexandre. He is predeceased by his brothers Christian and Hans and survived by his brothers Ernst, Andreas and Sam and his sister Vreni.
He successfully built close to 150 houses in and around Mont Ste. Marie, Quebec, where he also loved to garden and pamper his beloved geraniums; was very active and enjoyed watching his daughters ski race at a younger age. He died peacefully in his sleep at the Bruyère Long Term Care, where he was admitted due to Alzheimer’s. We are grateful for the good care he received by the staff at the Bruyère.
Friends are invited to visit at the McGarry Memorial Chapel, 176 Route 105, Wakefield, Qc on Saturday, February 16th from 10 a.m. until the time of the Celebration of Life at 11:30 a.m., with a reception to follow.
Donations in lieu of flowers are welcome to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or Bruyère Continuing Care.
