Obituary for Aurele Fleury

Aurele Fleury
Former employee of Taggart Const. And owner of Épicerie Brennan’s Hill

Peacefully on October 9th, 2019 at La Maison des Collines in Wakefiled, Quebec with his wife of 40 years, Kathy (Guilfoyle) by his side. Son of the late François and Loretta (Robillard) Fleury. He leaves behind his three precious sons Adrien (Meaghan Henry), Eric (Jessica Lapensee-Paquette) and Jared and his boisterous and lively grandchildren Avery, Reese and Rowan. Forever missed by his beloved brother René (Liliane Samson) and their children Marc and Linda (Nick Christakos) and their children. Left to mourn are his brothers-in-law Pat (Wendy Hoddinott) and Brian and sisters-in-law Marlene Etherington, Mary and Eleanor Guilfoyle and many nieces and nephews and cousins and his Aunt Yvette (Fleury) Roy. Survived by his brothers Gaston (the late Leona Murdock), André (Suzanne Fitzgerald) and sister Suzanne and their families. A Celebration of Life will be held at the McGarry Memorial Chapel, 176 route 105, Wakefield, Quebec on Saturday, October 19 from 1-4 p.m. (Come as you are, Aurele was not one to enjoy dressing up.) We cannot express how much we appreciate the professional and personal care given to Aurele from the start of this journey. Drs. Lajzerowicz and Gold, Satenstein and Menard. The home care workers from the CLSC headed by Sarah Nöel, the staff at the Gatineau Memorial Hospital and last and certainly not least, the exceptional caring nurses, nurses’ aides, staff and volunteers at La Maison des Collines. Above and beyond, this facility allowed Aurele the freedom and grace to entertain and welcome the many, many visitors from near and far who shared precious time, memories, laughter and tears. Thank you visitors and those who e-mailed and telephoned. God Bless you all. In Memoriam donations to La Maison des Collines, 99 chemin Burnside, Wakefield, Quebec, appreciated.

Rest in Peace Aurele, we love you.

Kathy, Adrien, Eric and Jared.
