The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Phyllis Garden can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Phyllis was a wonderful person, a wonderful friend and an outstanding educator. I worked with Phyl for many years in the Special Education Department of the Toronto Board of Education. She had a way with children. She was caring, compassionate, supportive but always had high expectations for her students. She challenged her students. She gave and gained respect. Students were fortunate to have Phyl as their teacher. I regret that I lost contact with Phyllis over the past few years but I do have wonderful memories of our time together. My thoughts are with “the kids”.
