Obituary for Dr. Geoffrey Arthur Hiscocks
July 1926 – November 2019
With heavy hearts, the Hiscocks Family witnessed Geoff take his last breath at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2019. He was 93 years old, 69 years married to his beloved wife, Valerie; a wonderful father to his children: Richard, Judi, husband Bob Webb, Michael and adoring grandfather of Madeleine; dear brother of Betty, husband Paul Franche; caring Uncle of Helen, Glynn, Cécile, Peter, Martin and their families.
Geoff took great pride in his work as an agricultural economist in England and especially in Canada. A devoted husband, a dear Dad, an avid gardener and a well-travelled gentle man deeply rooted and strengthened by his faith, Geoff strove to be a worthy pilgrim.
We are grateful to our extended family in England and Australia and our dear friends for their warmth and assistance. Special thanks to the staff in the Long-Term Care Wing, Wakefield Memorial Hospital and to the nurses and doctors who eased his way and ours too.
Friends are invited to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 693 Riverside Road, Wakefield, QC on Monday November 18, 2019 at 2pm. Reception to follow at McGarry Memorial Chapel, 176 Route 105, Wakefield, QC.
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to give a donation to the Church of Good Shepherd, Wakefield or to the Hospital Foundation.
