Condolence From: Ron Dalphy
Condolence: I have great memories of Mr Isabelle growing up on Woodside Drive. I was so happy to knock on their door and see him and Elaine again a few years ago, when I was in the neighborhood. We had a wonderful talk.

Dr. laurent Isabelle was a very kind and special man.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. Cherish your memories. They will help you through the sad times.

Condolence: Mr Isabelle was such a terrific man.

I lived across the street from the Isabelles on Woodside Drive when I was growing up. One of my memories of Mr Isabelle was that, in elementary school, he allowed me to borrow and trace pictures from his National Geographic collection. Mr Isabelle even provided me with the onion skin paper! It helped me to get better marks in school.

My since condolences to your wonderful and gracious family.
What a beautiful obituary. It shows Mr Isabelle as the stellar human being that he was.

Condolence: To the Family of Dr. Laurent Isabelle,

My brother, Father St. John, lives in Ottawa and I just heard of the sad news of Dr. Isabelle's passing. I was a student of Dr. Isabelle's in 1967 & 1968 at the University of Ottawa. I remember him very fondly. He helped me to achieve and to understand myself as a human being. He was very compassionate. Years later, living in Winnipeg and while I was attending a conference in Ottawa in May, I took him for lunch at the Chateau Laurier along the canal & afterwards he took me to Dows Lake to see the tulips. That was my last memory.
You are very fortunate to have had such a wonderful father and I am sure a wonderful mother as well. I wasn't surprised to hear he had worked for the Correctional Institute later on as he used to say the inmates needed an education and with lots of women teachers to send them love. He was an extraordinary individual!
I know you are all grieving but remember your father was a healer and you too will heal.
My sincere sympathies,
Muriel St. John

Condolence: I was saddened to learn of the death of Larry. We were colleagues at the Correctional Service of Canada in the early eighties and worked often together, as we both ran educational programs -- he for inmates and I for staff.

It was such a pleasure working with him. Always a gentleman, always objective, always working for the betterment of the Service with never a hidden agenda. He also had a ready smile and a twinkle in his eye.

Larry was a credit to the public service. Condolences to the family.
