Obituary for Matthew "Matt" Kelly
Retired, NCC – Masham, QC District
Passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the age of 73.
Beloved son of the late Peter William Kelly and the late Mary Anastasia Rooney. Dear brother of Ida (the late Paul Grant). Predeceased by siblings Orville (the late Marie Gleason), Harold, Doreen (Wolfgang Richter) and Dallas (Donald Balderson). Also predeceased by nephews Peter Sean Grant, John Balderson and Randy Richter. Survived by nieces and nephews Kimberley Richter (Tim Dixon), Peter Kelly (Shelly McGarry), David Grant (Sayward Montague), Lisa Kelly (Sean Connors), and Stephen Kelly (Lana Carroll). Fondly remembered by great-nieces and great-nephew Timothy Picard, Kayla Richter, and Leah Grant. Also cherished by many cousins and long-time friends.
A Memorial Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Venosta, QC, and interment in St. Martin’s Cemetery, Martindale, QC will be held in June 2019. A supplemental notice will appear closer to the date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), the Ottawa Heart Institute or any local community sports organization, such as the Venosta Recreation, would be appreciated.
