Condolence From: Judy Benson
Condolence: I've not seen Max since high school back in 1962-63. I recently returned to Canada after many decades away, and heard of his death.
My deepest sympathy to his family, and regret for not having kept in touch.

Condolence: To the Keeping Family: I'm very sorry to read of the loss of your loved one. I saw in the comments he was an interpreter. I too know anerican sign language and it is such a beautiful and captivating language. I know the deaf community will miss him dearly. During times like these it's all to easy to feel helpless and without hope. When my family and I experience tragedy of this sort we often turn to the scriptures for comfort. Isaiah 25:8 and Revelation 21:4 speaks of a time when death will be a thing of the past and our loved ones will be reunited with us. Continue to beg God for endurance until that time comes.

Condolence: The Ottawa Deaf community is very saddened by the death of Max Keeping. He embraced the Deaf community and had a segment on the news every evening, for many years, interpreted in sign language. He always ended with his own signing of "Thank You and I Love You". He was a hero to many and a joy to work with.

Condolence: Whenever I did any charity work, Max was always there lending a helping hand and that smile was always large. He will be forever missed in our comunity. I also remember sitting down in front of the TV and watching him on the CJOH News nightly. May he rest in peace with no more pain.

Sincerely,

Condolence: Shane & Family:
Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. Max was a cornerstone in a lot of our lives. I had the pleasure of knowing him from 1977 and he was always quick with a smile or a joke, a helping hand, a piece of advice both personally and professionally. He told you when you were wrong but always tried to help you with your problems. You have heard the stories from many of us and yes he was like a father to us in the CJOH family WE all join you in grieving his loss. Our lives are all better for having known him as a friend and a mentor. He will be missed. I wish I could be there to join one and all in the celebration of his life. I will be there in spirit.

Wally

Condolence: Our deepest condolences to Max’s entire family at this most difficult time. I met him shortly after he started at CFRA in 1965. Although we didn’t specifically work together in the later years, we stayed in touch through numerous functions, fundraisers and social activities. You are a treasure to all the lives you touched – you will always be remembered. Thank you Max.

Condolence: It is with so much sadness that I wish to offer Mr. Keeping's family my sincere and deepest condolences. I was a City of Ottawa employee, everytime our paths would cross in the hallways of City Hall he was always so friendly. He was once a witness to a Marriage Ceremony I performed, he was so amazing to the nice couple getting married. He was truly a genuine, nice and generous person. It was truly an honor and a privilege to have known him. Rest in peace dear friend.

Condolence: We are so saddened by the passing of this wonderful man from our midst. May many happy memories help to sustain all family members in the weeks and months to come.
Both my husband and I, as well as our children have followed his media career from day one in the Ottawa area. He used the same hair salon as did I at Billings Bridge Shopping mall. I almost felt that he was a personal acquaintance, because I saw him there so often. Rest in peace Max... you will never be forgotten by thousands...
