Corey, Arthur Hollis

Peacefully on September 20, 2017, Arthur Corey at the age of 88 in Winchester, Ontario. Arthur, son of Marion Benjamin Corey and Muriel Eloise Corey (Bowen), is predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years, Thelma Corey (née Ball), and is survived by children Benjamin, Shawn, Lance, Joyce (Darrell Douglas), Rodney (Sue) and Gail (Thomas) Bailey. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Having grown up on a dairy farm in rural Quebec, Arthur knew about hard work. Throughout his working years, Arthur always worked hard to provide for his family. His leisure time was often spent working with his hands, knitting, or rug hooking or other hobbies. By far, his favourite thing was to spend time with family and friends, telling stories and spending time together. Arthur missed his wife Thelma terribly after her passing, and slipped away peacefully. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 29th, 2017 from 1 pm to 3 , followed immediately by a service at 3 pm at the Winchester Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry Funeral Home. 472 Main St. Winchester.
