On December 1, 2017, died peacefully at home in the presence of his family. Peter was born in Bassano, Alberta and studied aeronautical engineering at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. He joined the Canadian Air Force and subsequently had a long and enjoyable career as a captain with Air Canada. Following retirement Peter loved to spend time at his home in Antigua, WI and at then his cottage on the Rideau Lakes, which kept him busy with many projects. Peter was the cherished husband of Ann Marie, father of Marc, Ariane Hansen (Erik) and James and grandfather of Emma Hansen, Olivia Hansen, and Matthias Hansen. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and personal support workers for all their kindness in caring for Peter. A private ceremony will be held for immediate family.
