Childhood

I remember when I first met the O'Toole family, actually, I never remember not knowing them. See, I was the kid across the back yard fence. There were 3 kids that lived there and 2 were girls! Plus they had a pool! I remember hopping the chain link fence back and forth for years! I could walk through the back door with comfort and unquestioned, the only thing in my way might have been Tara the cat! Mrs O'Toole would always greet me with the warmest smile that makes a child beam. There was always this soft warm feeling that radiated from her. Over the years I spent many summer days playing there. They even taught me to swim. They wouldn't let me out of the shallow end until I could swim the full length of the pool. I can still hear Mrs O'Tool's beautiful accent, that as a kid made me giggle, I loved it! I remember her softness and kindness, she always seemed to want everyone to be happy and to be good to one another, I think that is what I remember the most. Thanks Mrs O'Toole for being a part of my childhood...Foever cherished. Liz
