To the McEvoy Family:

Only now have I learned of your mom’s passing. I send my best wishes to all of you at this very difficult time. I know and understand the mixed emotions you guys are going through, treasuring the memories of how she was in better times, not wanting to see her go, but wishing in so many ways that God would see fit to bring the “earthwalk” part of her journey to an end. Know that she has now moved on to bigger and better things.

As we ourselves grow older, we have flashbacks of little moments in our past that didn’t seem special at the time but are now something we cherish. Your mom was a remarkable lady.... strong, principled, with a pretty darn good sense of humour too. I remember her being teased on one of her many visits to Roy’s cottage and she had a good laugh throughout it all. Lots to look back on.

Good bye “Mrs. McEvoy“ ( I could never call you “Joan”) as you begin your heavenly journey.
