Obituary for Carlos Goncalves
Goncalves, Carlos - peaceful on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at the Ottawa General Hospital at age 66. Carlos was a dedicated family man who enjoyed making homemade wine, spending time in the garden, and loved music. A handy and humble man, he enjoyed helping others build projects for their homes. He leaves behind his loving wife, Maria; his daughter, Stephanie (Jason Applejohn); his son Lino (Ashley Watson) and proud grandfather to his two grandsons, Liam Applejohn and Maximus Goncalves. Carlos will be missed by his brother Jucelino in Portugal. Predeceased by his parents Joaquim and Adelaide.
The family would like to thank his PSW’s from Retire at Home Carrie, Aliete, Lea and his nurse Nadia. We would also like to thank Dr. Crowe his psychologist, Dr. Keeley, his Diabetes doctor, and Dr. Corkery, his family doctor. Lastly, many thanks to the nurses and doctors at the Ottawa General Hospital floor 5 NE. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Diabetes Foundation or The Heart Institute.
