Condolence: Dear Jacquie and Family
Amanda shared the news with us about the loss of your lovely son Joe. We wanted you to know that we are so very sorry to hear of your loss and that we (and our families) are all thinking of you and your family.
We have donated to a charity called Northern Connections. This is a boots on the ground rescue that supports dogs who are at risk in northern communities, in partnership with local leaders and animal advocates. We are supporting an upcoming mission to northern Manitoba where several at risk dogs will be brought back to Ontario and placed with other rescue groups for foster and adoption.
These rescue missions require the effort and dedication of tons of volunteers, people who also share an immense passion and love for animals. The resulting arrival of (likely 40-50) sometimes injured and needy souls in to care is inspiring and creates so much hope.
We thought that this is something that Joe would have supported. They often prioritize pregnant females as they are at highest risk. We have asked if one of the soon to be born pups could be named in honour of Joe.

It is with a very sad heart that I write these words. I cannot imagine losing a child and my thoughts and sympathy are with you. I remember Joe so well and his beautiful smile and kind heart. It was such a pleasure teaching him and getting to know such wonderful caring parents such as you. A few years ago I bumped into Joe on the street and he immediately recognized me and gave me the biggest hug. What a sweet man! We chatted awhile and I so enjoyed our conversation.
May your heats be filled with beautiful memories of Joe to sustain you and give you strength through this difficult time.
