January 7, 1923 – January 6, 2020

Passed away peacefully on the eve of her 97th birthday at the Glebe Centre in Ottawa. She will be greatly missed by her son Peter (Maryse Barbeau) and her step granddaughter Alexandra. She was predeceased by her son Greg, her former husband William Jarvis and her brother Eric. She was the daughter of Peter McCuaig and Bessie McIntosh. She attended MacDonald College and was a teacher at Alfred Joyce School in Outremont. She loved downhill skiing and the cottage at Beaven Lake. We thank Maria Sendao for the generous love and support she gave Mary and for the compassionate care provided by the staff at the Glebe Centre, the Villagia in the Glebe and Home Instead. She will be remembered for her laughter, her strong will and her love for others.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street at a future date to be confirmed. Donations in her memory to The Glebe Centre would be appreciated.
